Corporate Security Internship (m/f/d)*

At Munich Re, Corporate Security plays a key role in protecting our people, assets and information worldwide. We design and implement strategies, concepts, guidelines and methods to continuously enhance security for our clients, employees, business partners and the Group as a whole. As part of our team, you will contribute to building and sharing security expertise across the global Munich Re Group.
Your Job
- Support the Corporate Security team in rolling out global security and emergency management standards and translating them into practical guidance for local sites
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security and emergency management policies, guidelines and standards
- Assist in the implementation and day-to-day support of a global emergency / mass notification management system (data maintenance, testing, reporting, user support and documentation)
- Support security intelligence activities, e.g. monitoring security incidents and trends, preparing concise situation briefs and supporting risk assessments
- Prepare analyses, reports and management presentations (e.g. risk overviews, site security profiles, project status updates) for internal stakeholders
- Support the planning, design, conduct and evaluation of emergency management trainings and exercises (scenario design, exercise materials, facilitation, lessons learned)
Your Profile
- Enrolled in a degree programme in security studies, risk & crisis management, disaster management, political science, organisational studies, business administration or a comparable field with strong interest in security and emergencies
- Genuine interest in Corporate Security, Emergency Management and organisational resilience
- Ideally first practical experience in environments dealing with emergencies (e.g. rescue services, volunteer fire brigade, THW, police, military) – a plus, not a must
- Very good skills in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel; initial experience with data analysis / visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) is an advantage
- High technical affinity and willingness to work with new tools (e.g. access control systems, ticketing tools, emergency management platforms)
- Distinct analytical and structured way of working, reliability and a hands-on mindset – you enjoy bringing structure and clarity into complex topics
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented attitude when working with internal stakeholders and external service providers
- Very good command of written and spoken English and German
Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.
