We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy professional to complement our team of data experts and project managers. In this role you will be at the forefront of our business process automation initiatives, equipping Munich Re’s global Life and Health accounting community with state-of-the-art data processing solutions. As such, your role entails a broad range of responsibilities and exciting development opportunities.
Your Job
- Identify, design and implement solutions with our customers (technical accounting in Munich and the IO) that improve their processes and infrastructure. Secure the stabilization and enhancement of implemented solutions
- Own, develop and maintain the global automation accounting ecosystem. Support the development processes for automation and scaling solutions from the technology side and in accordance with the VAIT guidance
- Serve as a sparring partner and be operationally engaged to ensure the professional operation and success of the team
- Support future architectural and portfolio evolution towards a digital operation as part of the global process owner organization
- Contribution to projects/initiatives locally and in IO, as well as acting as an interface between operational interfaces and in-/external IT
- Explore relevant new technological solutions. Propel projects and act as thought leader for automation. Share knowledge with the team and providing guidance
Your Profile
- University degree in actuarial studies, computer science, mathematics or equivalent, with experience in reinsurance accounting and IT implementations
- Ability to understand complex (re)insurance products and to translate their representation into actuarial and accounting systems
- Proven experience with the SAP based RI Admin systems (BuPa, FS-RI, FS-CD, EDHW) and their integration in other processes
- Proven experience in data processing and information technology; Database knowledge, SQL and programming skills (C#, Python, R, …); Practical experience with Azure Cloud ETL implementation and maintenance; Power Plattform skills are an advantage
- Practical experience in automation projects, as well as experience in life (re)insurance and actuarial knowledge are an advantage
- Well organised, with ability to work on multiple projects and prioritise work effectively. Strong solution-driven team player with customer focus. Willingness to work in a highly international field and to occasionally travel
- Affinity to work in an agile framework and in a project team; Integrative personality with a positive mindset
- Willingness to travel occasionally. Strong English and German skills, written and spoken;
