Description: 

A new section within Central Procurement is being set-up to ensure compliance to our group-wide policy for managing risk associated with engaging external staff in Germany. The team will closely work with other Munich Re units such as MEAG and ERGO to implement an aligned group-wide process which will be supported by the up-coming roll-out of a new common tool. 
In this role, you will report to the Head of External Staff Management (ESM) in CP1.1.2 and contribute to shaping the processes and tools that ensure compliant external workforce management across Munich Re. While the initial focus is on Germany due to strict external regulatory requirements, future expansion may include onboarding additional countries with their own local compliance needs.

Your Job

  • Act as the go-to legal advisor for business units and stakeholders regarding the compliant engagement of external staff
  • Monitor developments in regulatory requirements (primarily in Germany, but potentially internationally) and assess the impact on existing processes
  • Evaluate and advise business units on drafting service descriptions in line with our group-wide guidelines for external staff engagement
  • Design and implement continuous monitoring controls for onboarded external staff
  • Develop and deliver modern, interactive training courses focused on compliance in external staff engagement
  • Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders (e.g. Group Compliance Legal (GCL), IT, Audit) and users across business units to ensure alignment and effectiveness
  • Play an active role in enhancing and supporting the ESM tool used to implement the group-wide external staff policy

Your Profile

  • Degree in law, ideally with a focus on German Labour Law
  • Experience in compliance, procurement, or employment law, with proven expertise in managing regulatory aspects of external workforce engagement is a plus
  • Proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for new topics
  • Confident and persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong service and solution orientation, balancing business needs with compliance requirements
  • Quick comprehension, analytical mindset, and strong organizational capabilities
  • Interest in IT tool development and improving the user experience
  • Fluent in German and English
