Category Manager - Real Estate & Office Services (m/f/d)* - limited until 03/2029

As part of the Global Sourcing Team and reporting to the Global Category Manager for Real Estate & Office Services, you will drive strategic procurement initiatives across Real Estate and Facilities Management.
You will deliver optimal sourcing solutions, strengthen supplier relationships, support digital transformation, and ensure full compliance with regulatory and risk standards. In this role, you collaborate closely with the global category team and execute local and regional strategies effectively.
This role is offered on a fixed-term contract until March 2029, and we are looking to hire two professionals.
Your Job
- Act as the central strategic interface for internal customers and supplier managers
- Manage the full strategic procurement process (demand management, tenders, evaluations, negotiations, implementation)
- Monitor and analyze procurement markets, technologies, and costing models
- Manage existing suppliers, identify alternatives, and handle escalations
- Support the Global Category Manager in sourcing, supplier, and risk strategies
- Ensure alignment and implementation of local procurement strategies
- Build strong stakeholder and supplier relationships
- Use category and market insights to identify business opportunities
- Apply digital procurement tools (e.g., Coupa) to improve efficiency and user satisfaction
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering, supply chain management, or a similar field
- 5+ years of relevant procurement experience, ideally in an international environment
- Proven experience leading strategic sourcing projects and cross functional negotiation teams
- Solid knowledge of HOAI, BGB, VOB and contract law, including the ability to calculate construction services
- Strong understanding of Real Estate & Office Services supplier markets, facility projects, and technology infrastructure
- Proficient in contract terminology and capable of developing alternative clauses together with Legal
- Good knowledge of digital procurement tools, especially Coupa
- Strong project management and analytical skills, with experience delivering data-driven category strategies
- Fluent German language skills (spoken and written)
