Description: 

Group Investment Management (GIM) is responsible for managing the proprietary investment portfolio of Munich Re and ERGO with a volume of approximately EUR 250 billion. Our section is responsible for the operational cash management of Munich Re AG. 
 
Your Job

  • Execution of operational cash management with a focus on Munich Re AG and Great Lakes entities 
  • Daily cash positioning in euros and foreign currencies, including ensuring adequate liquidity steering and short-term investments 
  • Processing of international and domestic payment transactions while balancing risks within the Munich Re Group 
  • Execution of intra-group FX deals 
  • Support in the implementation of cash management projects 
  • Maintenance of internal documentation 
  • Ongoing communication with international and domestic banks 
  • Processing of bank statements and reconciliation/posting of incoming and outgoing payments, including maintenance of accounting rules 
  • Maintenance of group-wide bank master data in accordance with internal guidelines 
  • Point of contact for internal and external inquiries
  • Support of month-end and year-end closing activities  

Your Profile

  • Degree in business administration or a comparable completed commercial qualification in a finance or banking environment, with at least three years of relevant professional experience, ideally related to cash management or treasury 
  • Technical understanding for the efficient use of SAP modules and MS Office 365 applications 
  • Solid understanding of local and international standards in global transaction banking is an advantage 
  • Resilient personality paired with strong prioritization and communication skills 
  • Decisiveness combined with the willingness to take responsibility 
  • Strong team player with a keen interest and willingness to build, maintain, and share knowledge 
  • Intercultural competence to further develop and strengthen international interfaces within Munich Re globally 
  • Strong service orientation 
  • Analytical and conceptual mindset with a careful and systematic working style 
  • Very good command of English and German, written and verbal required
