The IAM Products & Solutions team is part of the Corporate Functions Tower within Munich Re Group Technology. We deliver Identity & Access Management (IAM) products and services that enable secure access, digital transformation, and innovation across Munich Re's global technology landscape.
As part of our AI and automation journey, we are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong intern with a passion for software engineering, AI, Agentic AI, and digital product development. You will work alongside experienced engineers, architects, and IAM project teams to develop innovative solutions that create tangible business value in a global enterprise environment.
Your Job
- Develop and enhance modern full-stack applications and digital products as per the use cases from team.
- Build AI-powered solutions, business agents, and automation tools.
- Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs and system interfaces.
- Develop Python-based applications and automation solutions.
- Utilize Microsoft 365 tools, GitHub Copilot, and modern software engineering practices.
- Support solution design, testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams.
- Contribute to AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Gain practical exposure to Identity & Access Management (IAM) products and enterprise IT delivery.
Your Profile
- Currently pursuing a degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python are mandatory.
- Proven hands-on software development experience through university, personal, or professional projects.
- Experience with APIs, system integrations, Git, GitHub, and version control concepts.
- Good understanding of databases and SQL.
- Understanding of software engineering principles and software development lifecycle concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- JavaScript / TypeScript.
- React, Angular, or similar frontend frameworks.
- FastAPI, Flask, Django, or comparable backend frameworks.
- Microsoft Azure fundamentals.
- Docker and containerization concepts.
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot.
- Understanding of AI, Machine Learning, LLMs, Agentic AI, and Prompt Engineering.
- Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts is a plus.
Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.
