Description: 

The Munich Re Global Real Estate and Services division sets the direction for the management of all aspects of corporate real estate and employee services across the regions for Munich Re offices.
Global Corporate Security is responsible for the protection of employees, sites and assets worldwide. The department works closely with integrated risk management, the business units and the regional organizations of Real Estate and Services to develop and implement risk-based measures and procedures and monitor their effectiveness.
Within the newly established department we are looking for a Global Specialist Personnel Protection based in Munich.


Your Job

  • Develop and enhance the global governance and operating model for personnel protection
  • Provide functional guidance to regional specialists to ensure alignment and consistency across the security framework
  • Design protection concepts, including scenario planning, risk thresholds, and mitigation strategies
  • Conduct advance work and protective intelligence assessments for travel (threat monitoring, venue and route analysis)
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify and evaluate emerging risks to the physical security environment
  • Support GSOC and security partners with timely intelligence and situational updates
  • Plan and coordinate secure transportation and executive protection services
  • Develop and implement detailed security and travel plans for senior leadership engagements
  • Work closely with internal partners (e.g., CEO’s Office, Corporate Travel, Events) and external providers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, collaboration, and global security standards

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in security, ideally with a focus on personnel protection
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in law enforcement, military, or a comparable security environment
  • At least 3 years of experience in personnel and/or executive protection
  • Relevant certifications in security or protection management are an advantage
  • Experience working in complex, international environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally and work outside standard hours when required
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cultures
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Business fluent in German and English
