The responsibilities of this role will cover the Life & Health 1 (LH1) reinsurance division of Munich Re. LH1 is anchored around our three main hubs in Munich, Madrid and London; the role will be based in London. We operate in mature and highly competitive markets where medical progress, demographic change and shifting customer needs continuously reshape risk landscapes. This is further intensified by evolving regulation, accounting requirements and sustained competitive pressure, making it essential that we combine a clear strategy with a structure that enables disciplined execution across markets.
In LH1, our strategy is built on three complementary pillars: biometric (protection and health) solutions, longevity and retirement risk transfer, and reinsurance structuring and capital solutions. Each pillar contributes to sustainable performance, and we take an integrated view across the portfolio to balance growth, risk and long-term value creation.
