Senior IT Strategist
We are looking for a Senior IT Strategist to be based in London on a full-time basis with hybrid working.
As an Senior IT Strategist, you will drive and manage the IT strategy based on the company strategy. You will develop recommendations for actions and initiate the implementation of measures to manage the IT strategy, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation across the global organization. You will act as a key advisor, assuming responsibility for complex topics delegated directly by the Group Technology Leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition, implementation, and communication of the IT organization’s strategic management framework.
- Direct the creation and review of an IT strategy and plan to support the strategic requirements of the business.
- Identify relevant business value drivers and objectives to ensure IT alignment with corporate goals.
- Review new business proposals and provide specialist advice, including trend scouting and technology impact analysis.
- Derive strategic measures (IT roadmap) including IT workforce management, skills, and competencies.
- Assume overall responsibility for IT Governance domains and lead the development of policies for corporate governance of information.
- Proactively initiate change processes and gain the support of important stakeholders and senior leadership for the change vision.
- Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
Knowledge and Skills
- Professional experience in various IT areas (eg. workforce management, communication, IT governance) or several senior roles.
- Proven track record in leading global IT strategic management and directing complex international projects.
- Deep understanding of (re)insurance business processes and the ability to translate market information systematically into IT strategy.
- Exceptional ability to explain complex issues clearly and apply strong story lines for strategy approach in direct and indirect interaction.
- ITIL certification is preferred; readiness to pursue further professional certifications is expected.
- A curious, creative, and proactive mindset with the ability to lead, supervise, and motivate international teams.
