About the role:

As a Senior Claims Adjuster with US experience you will oversee complex Property, Casualty, and Transportation claims, ensuring strategic oversight and optimal outcomes. You will play a key role in maintaining delegated authority relationships, conducting audits, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and excellence in claims handling. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Conduct regular meetings with MGAs to review claims, performance, and implement remediation plans where necessary.  
  • Investigate and assess referral claims from MGA and Delegated Authority partners for coverage, damages, and subrogation/contribution opportunities.  
  • Manage delegated authority relationships, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and adapting to the evolving legal landscape.  
  • Proactively manage claims with a strategic, total cost of claim mindset, ensuring timely and accurate reserve setting.  
  • Coordinate and manage external counsel and vendors to achieve optimal claim outcomes.  
  • Present high exposure (CAT) claims to Claims Leadership and Key Stakeholders.  
  • Perform audits and follow up on findings to ensure closure and compliance.  
  • Provide detailed analysis of claims performance and management information.  
  • Support underwriting and pricing through claims feedback and trend analysis.  
  • Represent Munich Re & Great Lakes Insurance at market meetings and networking events, promoting the company’s interests. 

 

Key Skills & Experience: 

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Property, Casualty, and Auto/Cargo (physical damage) claims.  
  • Experience managing USA Binder business and resolving TPA audit findings.  
  • Proven technical claims proficiency and execution of best practices.  
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.  
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills. Business acumen and collaborative mindset. 

 

Desirable:  

  • Familiarity with Power BI and data analysis tools. 
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the U.S. insurance market. 

  

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:  

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.  
  • ACII or progress toward completion preferred.
