Senior Business Analyst
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our London Office on a full-time basis with hybrid working.
The Senior Business Analyst will support MRSG with a large growth ambition programme, supporting the delivery of a new European growth initiative throughout multiple European territories. This role is key in enabling change across the programme. The successful candidate will endeavour to improve technology, processes and deliver the specific programme deliverables.
The Senior Business Analyst must elicit, analyse, validate, document, manage and explain business requirements based on project objectives, whilst supporting on Capability and Target Operating Models.
Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyse, validate, document, manage and explain business requirements based on project objectives.
- Provide Business Analysis expertise in insurance domain.
- Overcome project impediments and report regularly on progress.
- Contribute to product roadmap and backlog.
- Perform analysis using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Provide timely updates on opportunities, risks, issues and progress.
- Produce and manage business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria from undefined and unstructured information on strategic projects and programmes.
- Plans, manages and investigates business situation analysis where there is significant ambiguity and complexity.
- Understanding of Business problems and investigating root causes.
- Advises on the approach and techniques to be used for business situation analysis. Ensures holistic view adopted to identify and analyse wide-ranging problems and opportunities.
- Engages and collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders, including those at the management level. Gains agreement from stakeholders to conclusions and recommendations.
- Plans and drives scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for large, complex initiatives.
- Selects, adopts and adapts appropriate requirements definition and management methods, tools and techniques.
- Obtains input from, and agreement to requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders. Negotiates with stakeholders to manage competing priorities and conflicts.
- Establishes requirements baselines. Ensures changes to requirements are investigated and managed.
- Selects appropriate techniques and tools to develop user stories and elicit user experience requirements in complex situations.
- Identifies the roles of affected stakeholder groups. Resolves potential conflicts between differing user requirements.
- Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.
- Collaborates with, and facilitates stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements. Seeks to fully address client needs and implements solutions if required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Exposure to related growth initiatives, global change and technology.
- Experience in launching new products in multiple Lines of Business.
- Experience of complex eco-systems / system integrations.
- Knowledge of insurance policy administration, policy lifecycles and workflows.
- Skilled at meeting facilitation and presentation.
- Strong time management skills.
- Understanding of the requirements lifecycle.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, time-compressed and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for delivery of requirements.
