With the office in Munich, it forms the Life 1 division of Munich Re. The UK life market is one of the, if not the, most competitive life markets in the world. About the Role:
This role is focused on ensuring the successful delivery of assigned projects within UK Life Branch (UKLB). The postholder will apply flexible project management approaches to deliver work in a collaborative, adaptable, and value-driven way. Projects may include both commercial and non-commercial initiatives, with opportunities to contribute more broadly across UKLB and LH1 where the team’s input adds value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support the management of significant projects throughout their lifecycle
- Tailor project management methodology to suit the context and needs of each project
- Effectively manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously
- Ensure robust project controls, change management processes, and risk management are in place
- Contribute to clear and consistent communication on projects across the branch
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to support the delivery of strategic projects and propositions
- Provide mentoring and guidance in project management best practices, particularly where others are leading projects
- Use project management expertise, facilitation skills, independent challenge, and process efficiency to support emerging business needs
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in project management, ideally within the financial services sector
- Comfortable working in an agile and evolving business environment
- (Desirable) Experience in a Project Support Office or Project Management Office setting
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across a range of stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Pragmatic and solutions-oriented
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Collaborative team player
