Commercial Finance Transformation Analyst

We are looking for a Commercial Finance Transformation Analyst for a 6 month fixed-term-contract based in our London City Office onsite 2-3 days per week. 

 

As Commercial Finance Transformation Analyst you will be part of the Finance and Actuarial Transformation team supporting the delivery of strategic and tactical projects for the Commercial Reporting and Analysis department .This will encompass activities from the initial identification of development opportunities through to the successful implementation of  solutions. You will be working in collaboration with a range of functions including Finance & Actuarial, IT and Data. 

 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Research and analyse, as directed, the Commercial Reporting department's existing processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Identify in detail any problems with the current reporting and planning models and processes
  • Work with commercial reporting subject matter experts and transformation managers to scope and document solutions
  • Collaborate in the design of potential solutions to any problems identified during the research phase
  • Support the implementation of approved process and reporting improvements
  • Carry out training sessions and workshops to guide the Commercial reporting team on revised processes and new/enhanced reporting solutions
  • Maintain templates and documentation to enable thorough project scoping and business requirements definition
  • Assist with other Finance & Actuarial Transformation work as needed.
  • Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience in transformation programs
  • Proven technical business analysis and documentation skills
  • Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Excellent finance analytical skills, attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A thorough understanding of finance and planning applications and systems
  • Ability to quickly build in-depth knowledge of new business applications
  • A thorough understanding of accounting , finance and planning functions (may have an accounting qualification) and commercial reporting
  • Experience in the General Insurance industry, preferably specialty insurance
