Munich Re Markets (“MRM”) within Munich Re is specialised in all types of strategic transactions for our life insurance companies' clients worldwide. Strategic transactions include capital management, financing, strategic risk transfer and, last but not least, the reinsurance of new savings and retirement products.
 
MRM has developed and reinsured numerous individualised saving products across the globe and has infrastructure in place to reinsure, administer and risk manage savings and retirement products. MRM is expanding the Southeast Asia (SEA) and Hong Kong (HK) origination team to meet increased demands reinsurance of Savings, Retirement and Investments Insurance Products across the regions. 
 
Your Role

  • Driving origination activities for Munich Re Markets (MRM) for Hong Kong and Taiwan markets etc. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with insurers, banks, and other financial institutions to identify and develop new opportunities
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments and market trends to anticipate client needs and drive innovative solutions
  • Work closely with internal teams to customize, negotiate and execute solutions tailored to client needs
  • Manage implementation and ongoing operational processes of reinsurance transactions.
  • Work and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Your Profile

  • Qualified Actuary or a professional with actuarial knowledge
  • Approximately 10-15 years of work experience in Life Insurance preferably in Actuarial Consulting, Product Management or Valuation functions
  • Strong understanding of technical actuarial calculations, possess analytical and conceptual skills
  • Proficiency in native languages of the client markets, to support communication with clients who prefer these languages, and ability to network
  • Task-focused and able to collaborate within a team environment
  • Good stakeholder management skills to work in a global organisation
