Description: 

The Market Analyst is responsible for executing, analyzing and authoring a wide range of market research, empowering HSB with actionable insights that help drive decision making. This role will be primarily responsible for conducting research in the areas of trend intelligence, product analysis, competitive intelligence, and innovation insight support.  The individual will be tasked with interpreting information to ultimately draw out the most actionable and relevant findings, using their intuition and skills to identify objective conclusions to share with the business.  

 

Under low supervision and in partnership with other team members, this individual contributor role will be directly involved in scoping research topics, gathering information, liaising with business partners and subject matter experts, analyzing data, creating reports, and sharing of research findings internally within the organization. In addition, they will be responsible for helping develop and execute product trend frameworks, working with our team to engineer a strategy to deliver proactive thought leadership to the business.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Marketing, Business or another similar field
  • Master’s degree a plus
  • Minimum of 4-6+ years relevant work experience preferred through a combination of previous employment, internships and extra-curricular activity
  • Experience conducting market research preferred

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel required
  • Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, along with good design sensibilities, required
  • Strong data analysis and/or statistical experience required
  • Personal work organization, communication and project management skills required
  • Presenting and communicating effectively to internal business partners required
  • Experience in statistical or data analysis software preferred
  • Industry and business trend analysis experience preferred
  • Experience in market research preferred
