Remote locations can be considered for highly qualified candidates however the ability to visit key locations as stated above is important. 15-20% travel.
Position Overview
Munich Re is seeking a North America Campus Practice Leader to join our Talent Acquisition team, with responsibility for end‑to‑end campus recruitment strategy and operations across the United States and Canada. This role will contribute to and be accountable for executing on early career talent recruiting strategy. This includes co‑op students, internships, and new graduate programs, as well as the recruitment marketing strategies that support strong, sustained talent pipelines across North America.
Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, North America, you will act as the strategic owner and subject‑matter expert for the North America campus practice, partnering closely with HR, business leaders, and university partners. You will balance strategic leadership with hands‑on execution.
This role offers high visibility and influence, requiring strong collaboration with stakeholders ranging from students and university partners to senior and executive leaders. You will play a critical role in positioning Munich Re as an employer of choice for early career talent across North America.
Job Responsibilities
North America Campus Strategy & Leadership
- Own and lead the North America campus recruitment strategy, ensuring alignment across U.S. and Canadian programs while respecting regional market nuances.
- Establish consistent frameworks, governance, and best practices for campus recruiting, assessment, and student experience across all North American locations.
- Serve as the internal practice leader and advisor on early career and campus talent strategy.
- Close collaboration and providing direction for North America Campus team
Recruitment
- Oversee full‑cycle campus recruitment delivery for North American roles, including co‑ops, internships, and new graduate hiring.
- Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to forecast demand and define campus hiring strategies across functions such as Actuarial, Data, IT, and Underwriting, with a focus on future strategic growth areas.
- Design and implement scalable interview structures suited to high‑volume campus hiring.
- Identify and manage partnerships with external vendors, platforms, scholarship programs, and student associations that support North American campus hiring goals.
Recruitment Marketing & Employer Branding
- Set and execute the North America campus recruitment marketing strategy, ensuring a cohesive employer brand across universities and regions.
- Establish and manage vendor partnerships that support recruitment marketing and early career attraction initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key universities, faculty, student groups, and career centers across the U.S. and Canada.
- Lead campus branding initiatives and events (e.g., case competitions, conferences, speaking engagements) that elevate Munich Re’s presence, reputation and talent pipeline.
- Collaborate with local and global teams to develop compelling content for multiple channels, including social media and digital platforms.
Student Experience
- Act as the knowledge expert and consultant to the business on delivering a consistent, high‑quality student experience across North America.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to design and evolve a co‑op and internship experience framework covering engagement, development, performance assessment, and conversion/retention.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with the Canadian co‑op system is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive campus and early career recruitment experience with demonstrated success recruiting junior talent.
- Proven experience developing and executing recruitment marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Strong relationship‑building and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, academic partners, and senior leaders.
- High level of business acumen, critical and creative thinking, and intellectual curiosity.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; comfort with public speaking is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to adopt and leverage new technologies and ATS platforms to drive meaningful outcomes.
- Willingness to travel across the U.S. and Canada when permitted to support campus and business engagement.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as required during peak campus recruiting seasons (particularly fall).
- Data and reporting literacy with ability to tell a story with data driven insights

The salary range for this position is $138,400-$180,00 plus opportunity for company bonus of up to a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
