As a strategic liaison and expert representative of HSB, this role is pivotal in cultivating and managing high-level relationships with Insurance Distribution Council (IDC) members. You will drive business growth and local activation through collaboration with sales teams, while serving as a key conduit to GSI for all HSB-related matters.

 

This position also includes responsibility for a select portfolio of IDC relationships, ensuring seamless communication and alignment across stakeholders to deliver exceptional value and mutual success.

Key Responsibilities

 

Relationship Management

  • Develop and lead strategic partnerships with top agency partners
  • Build and nurture relationships across all levels of assigned firms
  • Align annual planning with company goals to optimize partnerships
  • Collaborate across internal teams to ensure initiative alignment
  • Negotiate production, compensation, and strategic opportunities

 Represent and Market Munich Re Capabilities

  • Serve as a representative on internal teams and broker initiatives
  • Promote the full suite of Munich Re products and services
  • Participate in industry events and marketing campaigns
  • Build internal networks to support enterprise initiatives

Drive Local Activation with HSB Sales Teams

  • Support territory representatives and remove roadblocks
  • Lead client teams in identifying and servicing business opportunities
  • Ensure alignment with strategic objectives
  • Provide regular updates to HSB leadership on initiatives and progress

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or degree in business, insurance, marketing, or statistics preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Commercial Lines or marketing roles
  • Proven success working with top 100 brokers/firms
  • Experience in retail agency, retail broker, or wholesale brokerage preferred

Skills and Competencies

  • Executive presence and strong presentation skills
  • Expertise in internal collaboration and communication
  • Deep understanding of insurance concepts and industry trends
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and general PC skills
  • Strong project management and client relationship skills

The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including California.  The salary ranged posted below applies to the Company’s Hartford, CT location.

 

  • The salary range for this position is $135,600 - $198,900 plus opportunity for company bonus.  In addition, the company provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
