Manager Sensor Solutions Engineering

Direct the detailed technical evaluation of new technology use cases, devices, and early-stage product opportunities, as a part of the overall product development process. Working on a cross-functional team to provide deep technical expertise and manage other engineers in performing early-stage engineering validation research, testing, piloting, and analysis that enables scalable risk mitigation for new technologies and associated IoT services. In addition, support engineering research and testing efforts for production hardware and use case enhancements, including operational improvements.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
- Master’s degree is preferred
- 7+ years’ experience in an engineering role
- 7+ years’ experience working with connected technologies in a design, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, or operations capacity
- Prior experience working in an engineering testing field and methods of analyzing or automating tests is strongly preferred
- Prior experience leading a team
- Prior computer/software programming experience
- Professional Engineer’s License is preferred
- Engineering project management experience is preferred

- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superior expertise in the architecture, design, and/or operation of IoT networks, products, and solutions
- Deep knowledge of technical and non-technical aspects of Engineering
- Strong organizational and team building skills, including collaboration and coordination across different geographies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the presence and poise to present to senior executives and gain consensus on complex topics
- Proactive, self-starter with strong ownership mentality and a desire to get things done
