The candidate will be responsible for producing various product tools for products that comprise the CRS product portfolio - Equipment Breakdown, Renewable Energy and Cyber Insurance. 

 

 

The Data Product Manager will collaborate with other CRS team members, IT staff, Global Corporate Underwriting staff and members of the CRS Financial Solutions team to construct data analytic tools that will ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and profitability targets are met.

 

 

Additionally, the Data Product Manager will assist the Head of Underwriting Analytics in setting strategy to grow the CRS product lines in accordance with desired product mix and growth targets.

 

 

The candidate should have a strong understanding of the underlying business data and use that knowledge to advocate for the CRS business segment.

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Creates tools (e.g., dashboards and reports) to be used in both the field and home office to help achieve underwriting excellence across CRS.   The dashboards should contain robust views of in-force statistics, business flow metrics, retention and price change metrics and applicable loss ratio information.
  • Acts as liaison between CRS and IT to ensure quality data extracts from the data identified as the “source of truth”.
  • Performs product analysis via data analytics, monitoring key product metrics and performance indicators
  • Collaborates with other CRS team members for cross-functional initiatives to ensure alignment with business goals

Education and Experience:

 

  • 5+ years of insurance experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in one or more of the following disciplines:  Business, Insurance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Science or Statistics
  • Advanced knowledge and use of data manipulation/reporting software including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI

Knowledge:

•           Extremely comfortable with datasets, dataset manipulation and data analysis

•           Proven Analytical Ability

•           Candidate should have familiarity with at least one Coding Language(s) (SQL, R, Python, etc.)

•           Exceptional Communication Skills (both written and oral)

•           Ability to work independently

The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including California.  The salary ranged posted below applies to the Company’s Hartford, CT location.

 

 

The salary range for this position is $99,000 - $146,000 plus opportunity for company bonus up to 12%.  In addition, the company provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

 

 

The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range of candidates hired. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
