Job Purpose
Engineer Surveyors play a vital role in keeping the Ireland’s industries safe, compliant, and operating at their best. In this exciting field based role, you will apply your technical expertise to complete statutory examinations and contractual inspections across a diverse range of equipment.
As an Engineer Surveyor, you will operate within a structured development pathway with defined competencies and tailored supervision; giving you the support you need to grow your capability, expand your knowledge and progress within the profession.
The type of equipment that our Engineer Surveyors inspect and the locations can vary greatly, but if you have experience with the inspection, maintenance or installation of any of the following types of equipment, it would be good to hear from you:
- Garage equipment
- Factory based lifting and pressure equipment
- Materials handling equipment, such as forklift trucks
- Social and Domestic, including stairlifts and personnel hoists
- Mobile plant including MEWPs, Earth Moving equipment etc.

As an Engineer Surveyor, there is no fixed place of work, and you will be field based, visiting our clients to provide inspection services.
Typical responsibilities of an Engineer Surveyor include but are not limited to:
- At HSB, the safety of our Engineer Surveyors and Clients is our top priority, therefore you will be required to work in accordance with our RAMS and company procedures to ensure that the highest standards are upheld and maintained at all times.
- Training and support will be given to enable you to be responsible for managing your own workload; ensuring that your clients receive their appointments on time and that your schedule is planned for maximum efficiency.
- When planning and carrying out your work, you will provide, develop and maintain excellent customer service to foster client relationships and ensure standards are met consistently.

Skills & Experience - 1-3 Years of experience in related engineering environments.
- Previous experience of the practical application and understanding of regulations such as Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007
- The ability to communicate at all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good IT skills (able to operate Microsoft and Apple packages)
- An understanding of the practical application of excellent customer service skills
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
A recognised Level 3 Engineering qualification or Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship. (Eg. NVQ Level 3)
