Senior Treaty Technician

 

We are currently looking for a Senior Treaty Technician to work with us on a full-time basis in our Dubai office, reporting into the SEO of RIBL (MENA).

 

Responsibilities:

 

Life & Health Treaty

  • Maintenance/back-up of the L&H Treaty Book
  • Direct communication with Cedant & Reinsurers on “Above Authority” Risks
  • Bridge the production of Confirmations of Cover, Endorsements and other general correspondence.
  • Treaty Target to be developed within the first year.
  • Bordereaux Qualification before processing with Reinsurance Markets
  • To learn and assist where necessary in all areas of the L&H RIBL (MENA) Treaty Strategy.
  • To abide by the policies and procedures of RIBL (MENA).
  • Awareness of DFSA Compliance rules and DIFC requirements

 

Reporting

  • Update and release Quarterly Treaty reports to Reinsurers.
  • Recommend risk premium developments across various portfolios for continuous profitability based on technical risk exposure calculations, subject to utilization trends, inflation, seasonality impacts, etc.
  • Support the RI Financial team in booking, Debit Notes production, etc when and where needed.

Knowledge and Skills

 

  • Proven experience in Technical L&H Role in any GCC Insurance Company.
  • Knowledge of various Reinsurance Pricing methodologies
  • Good knowledge of insurance legislation across the GCC and MEA region.
