Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HR Business Partners to assess skill and performance gaps and deliver solutions for all business units at American Modern.       
  • Partner with other TD&L team members to design, develop and deliver proactive creative solutions that support the region/global strategy and business objectives.
  • Facilitate learning solutions to include: individual training, group instruction, and self-led training to develop employee skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners on change management activities for the business units.
  • Conduct diagnostic needs analysis to determine appropriate instructional design methods, content of training and medium. Conduct research and work with subject matter experts to gain a detailed understanding of project scope and depth.
  • Ensure alignment of training programs with other talent systems and initiatives, including high potential programs, career development initiatives and succession planning programs.
  • Support regional/global talent management programs by implementing entity-specific plans, participating in talent discussions, and serving as active career enabler to high potential employees.
  • Measure effectiveness of training and talent processes and share metrics with stakeholders.
  • Maintain interaction and working knowledge of business units across the Company and create strong business relationships across the organization and regional TD&L team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in learning development or related field. Advanced degree/education is preferred. 
  • At least seven years of related experience, including instructional design or related training experience, change management and organizational development experience. 
  • Knowledgeable with training curriculum design and adult learning methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, consultative, organizational and time management skills required. 
  • Top notch consultative skills to effectively interact with various levels of employees. 
  • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills required. 
  • Microsoft Office software skills required (e.g., PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, Power BI, Word, SharePoint). 
  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • Knowledge of insurance business preferred.
