Description: 

To support the delivery of business transformation initiatives underpinning Ambition 2030 by providing analytical, process and change support across multiple workstreams. 

Working within a small, collaborative team the Business Transformation Analyst will work closely with Business Analysts, Process Analysts  and Business Change Managers to help shape, design  and implement improvements across process, technology and operating models. 

 

The role will contribute to the successful delivery of change through high quality analysis, documentation, user acceptance testing (UAT) and business readiness activities, enabling measurable improvements in customer experience, operational efficiency and control effectiveness.   A key focus for the role in its initial phase will be supporting the transformation of the Claims function, including contributing to process improvement, system enhancements and business readiness activities associated with the DRACS claims platform. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Transformation Delivery Support

  • Support delivery of transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams (process, technology, change)
  • Assist in coordinating activities, tracking actions  and maintaining delivery artefacts (plans, RAID logs, decision logs)
  • Contribute to workstream outputs ensuring consistency, quality  and alignment with Ambition 2030 objectives

 

Discovery & Analysis Support

  • Support workshops, stakeholder interviews  and data gathering activities
  • Assist in documenting current state (As Is) processes, user journeys  and business problems
  • Capture pain points, inefficiencies  and improvement opportunities across operations
  • Help produce clear and structured documentation of findings

 

Process & Documentation

  • Work with Process Analysts to document process maps, SOPs  and control points
  • Support the development of future state (To Be) processes and operating procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up to date documentation across transformation artefacts
  • Assist in ensuring standardisation and consistency across process outputs

 

Requirements & Solution Support

  • Support Business Analysts in capturing and documenting business and functional requirements (e.g., user stories, use cases)
  • Help maintain traceability between requirements, processes  and business outcomes
  • Contribute to solution documentation and support alignment with business needs

 

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Implementation Support

  • Support the planning, coordination  and execution of User Acceptance Testing across transformation workstreams
  • Assist in the creation of test scenarios, test scripts  and acceptance criteria aligned to business requirements
  • Coordinate UAT schedules, participant engagement  and test execution activities across business stakeholders
  • Track and document test results, defects, issues  and retesting activities, ensuring clear audit trails
  • Work with Business Analysts, IT  and stakeholders to triage defects and validate resolutions
  • Maintain UAT status reporting, including progress, risks  and readiness for go live
  • Support exit criteria validation and contribute to go/no go decision inputs

 

Business Readiness & Change Support

  • Support Business Change Managers in preparing the organisation for change adoption
  • Assist in developing business readiness assessments, checklists  and cutover plans
  • Produce and maintain training materials, user guides  and quick reference documentation
  • Coordinate and track completion of training and readiness activities across impacted teams
  • Support communication activities ensuring stakeholders are informed, engaged  and prepared
  • Assist in post implementation support, including warranty activities, feedback collection  and issue tracking
  • Help monitor adoption, user experience  and early stage benefit realisation

 

Claims Transformation Support (Initial Focus)

  • Support transformation activity within the Claims function, working closely with stakeholders to understand current processes, challenges  and improvement opportunities
  • Assist in documenting As Is and To Be claims processes, including claims lifecycle, controls  and customer journeys
  • Provide support to changes relating to the DRACS claims system, including process alignment, testing  and user validation
  • Support UAT activities specific to claims, including test scenario creation, execution coordination  and defect tracking
  • Assist with business readiness activities within Claims, ensuring teams are prepared for system and process changes
  • Help capture feedback from Claims users and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and system functionality

 

Governance, Risk & Controls

  • Maintain key transformation artefacts (process documentation, RAID logs, decision records)
  • Support adherence to governance frameworks and document control standards
  • Identify and escalate risks, issues, or dependencies where appropriate
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Build effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • Produce clear, concise documentation and presentation materials
  • Support workshops, playback sessions  and communications activities

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 0–3 years’ experience in business analysis, process improvement, project delivery, or operational roles (or relevant internship/placement)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capability
  • Ability to document information clearly and accurately (process maps, notes, reports)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Awareness of operational processes within claims or customer servicing environments

 

Desirable

  • Exposure to business transformation, change, or process improvement initiatives 
  • Familiarity with tools such as Visio, Miro, or similar 
  • Awareness of Agile or project delivery methodologies 
  • Experience within insurance, financial services, construction, or regulated environments 
  • Basic understanding of process mapping, data analysis, or requirements gathering techniques 
  • Exposure to claims processes within insurance, warranty, or regulated service environments 
  • Familiarity with claims management systems (e.g., DRACS, CRiSP and similar platforms) 
  • Understanding of claims lifecycle, handling processes  and associated operational controls
