Product Operations Rating Analyst

Purpose:

Provide technical support and expert knowledge of Earnix, Guidewire, related systems, software programs, and related processes being used for insurance policy administration, pricing, and product strategy. Develop business driven methods to implement rate changes and product enhancements with emphasis on efficiency, quality, and effectiveness. Configures and maintains Earnix and related business requirements to accommodate the needs of the organization, by utilizing expert technical support and subject matter expertise.  Perform research by troubleshooting complex software problems and resolve errors resulting from Earnix configuration and deployment. Responsible for performing research on recurring errors and escalating, as need is determined. Provide subject matter expertise on project work involving pricing and product strategy as it relates to Earnix functionality. Lead Guidewire/Earnix product and rating configuration by using a combination of Earnix, Policy Center, and Python code.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Earnix Configuration

• • Design, analyze, configures, and tests rating system configuration related to all use cases within documented processes and governance.
  • Configure Rates, calculated fields, and data used for Guidewire integration.
  • Create rate filings within the technical system, working with the system functional areas to ensure proper performance and configuration.
  • Review Earnix configuration to ensure it is accurate and complete.
  • Partner with Product Management on projects and reviews to provide review-specific Earnix configuration.
  • Collaborate regularly with managers to report progress and roadblocks on assigned tasks.
  • Assist in the management and documentation of processes, procedures, and governance.

• Technical Analysis

• • Analyze and implement filings by company, state, and policy type.
  • Works with technical and business management and internal users to analyze requirements and evaluate alternative solutions to achieve optimum results within our Earnix tool.
  • Participate throughout the product development life cycle and bridge the software development life cycle to ensure the requirements are satisfied, with heavy involvement in analysis, design, configuration, and testing.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot Earnix, provide technical support for application functions, and maintain documentation for technical and business reference
  • Develops, coordinates, and executes test plans, assuring tests are successfully completed prior to utilization or formal release of Earnix changes.
  • Develop methods to review, configure, test and deploy business driven solutions as they related to product and pricing strategy.

• Training and Documentation

• • Responsible for process and procedures documentation.
  • Responsible for any Earnix training/certifications needed for current version of solution.
  • High level understanding of how Earnix and Guidewire integrate.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

• 2 plus years of experience in an analytical role or analyst type functions, required.
• Experience translating complex technical and business requirements.
• Experience working with rating engine software.
• Experience deciphering configuration impacts based on Earnix and python code and how it relates within various systems.
• Experience with web based policy administration system, user interface, integrated development environment, query tools, and rating engines.

Education, Certifications & Designations: 

Required: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Analytical or Business Field
• Experience with Earnix/Radar or other comparable insurance rating systems
• Insurance knowledge

Preferred: 

• Guidewire v10 / Cloud (or higher) Analyst Certification
• Earnix Experience
