Purpose:

Provides required operational oversight of day to day operational issues and activities for Specialty Clients. Is the key  coordination point with other associated organizational divisions (i.e. Actuary, Customer Service, State Relations, IT, Marketing, etc.), as respects operational issues with Program Administrators. Assures that integration solutions once implemented are operating as expected and works to resolve issues when identified. Prioritizes enhancements for the integration solution with the partner. Participates in implementation of partner integration solutions as a Subject Matter Expert on Operations topics. Completes evaluation and testing activities related to Operations on partner account reviews. 

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Oversees the integration solutions for Program Agents for policy and premium processing, including new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements and error processing transactions, as well as Claim Policy Verification and Payment File transmission.
    • Monitors and tracks recurring policy and loss integration processes for issues/errors and communicates/drives resolution to assure premium is booked and claims can be set up; Communicates errors/issues to internal or external parties to assure resolution.
    • Performs preliminary assessment/investigation of integration solution processing errors using knowledge of solution functionality.
    • Key contact for downstream reporting to support finance, accounting, and reporting needs.
    • Provides oversight and direction in developing and implementing processing improvements and solutions; initiates requests to solution support teams and contributes to requirement and development processes as a business SME.
    • Collaborates with Operational Risk & Compliance on the development of internal processing controls and agent operations controls.
    • Key contact for agency operations relative to audit or regulatory examinations.
    • Performs Requirement Assessment and Account Review Testing of Operations Topics as part of the Delegated Functions Oversight Process.
    • Has ownership and oversight of operational requirements within the Delegated Function Guidelines.
    • Monitors open issues (enhancements and defects) on both AMOD Systems and Partner Systems, prioritizes and drives for resolution.
    • Facilitates/and coordinates internal and Program administrator discussions on operational topics and works to determine solutions or resolutions to outstanding issues.

 

Required Technical Skills:

    • General understanding of information technology techniques such as API, JAVA XML, ETL and their use and application.
    • Strong knowledge of insurance business ops such as policy transactions processing, loss reporting, billing and account settlement, statistical reporting, product development and maintenance.
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
    • Understanding of IT environments & Systems Development Life Cycle Practices.
    • Basic data query skills, Guidewire & IC Legacy System knowledge.

 

Education, Certifications & Designations: 

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ Years of Insurance Operations, Project Management or similar experience

Preferred: 

  • Project Management Certification; Pursuit of Property & Casualty Insurance coursework; Quality/Lean Certifications
