Purpose:

The Product Forms Analyst will be responsible for the research, creation and maintenance of policy forms and templates for all Specialty Client Products.  They will work closely will the Product Analyst responsible for each Specialty Client Line of Business.

 

 Roles & Responsibilities:

 

 

    • Consult with various departments within the organization, including Specialty Client, Actuarial, Underwriting, Legal & Compliance, and Operations to identify and build insurance product policy language; address state- specific requirements in connection with policy development.
    • Draft complex insurance policy provisions based on product specifications; work closely with the Specialty Clients Analyst and external partners to understand the need and intent of each form.
    • Collaborate with the Legal & Compliance Department to adopt regulatory research and analysis with respect to state requirements that apply to the policy forms.
    • Collaborate with the Legal & Compliance Department to determine if changing laws and regulations impact policy forms; and implement any required policy-language changes in coordination with product and operational partners.
    • ​Collaborate with Legal & Compliance Department to draft complex policy language, and develops strategic approaches and solutions to address complex policy-related and customer-specific issues. 
    • Partner with various departments within the organization, Underwriting, Legal & Compliance, Claims, and other internal partners as needed to address and develop strategies to resolve complex policy-related issues.
    • Perform competitive form research using internal and external tools to support policy wording and filing objections.
    • Responsible for all form related questions, revisions and filing objections.
    • Review and maintain all forms and filing related form templates.
    • Perform production form testing and Account Audit support.
    • Ability to manage several priorities simultaneously, establish and meet deadlines, coordinate activities with other departments and perform job with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of management.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

 

 

 

Required Technical Skills:

 

 

    • Strong analytical abilities including understanding of coverage and policy forms.
    • General understanding of state insurance laws, insurance policy language, product management and underwriting.
    • Proven ability to innovate and make decision to foster and develop more advanced techniques as appropriate for the functional area.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing priorities.
    • Basic knowledge of ISO, Wolters Kluwer, Oden, and various rate filing tools.

 

Education, Certifications & Designations:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance or similar discipline

Preferred: MBA or similar advanced degree, CPCU and/or FCAS
