The Content Marketing Partner role is a blend of Marketing Strategy and Content Planning responsibilities. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Strategy – American Modern, the Content Marketing Partner will also be responsible for developing marketing campaigns and solutions for select initiatives, while providing Content Strategy leadership in support of the Marketing Strategy team. The Content Marketing Partner is responsible for working across Marketing Strategy, Creative and Digital teams to deliver a comprehensive content strategy that targets our policyholder and agent audiences to drive business growth and corporate strategy.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

Content Strategy

    • Work with the Marketing team to develop and own comprehensive content strategy.  Create multi-channel campaign calendars and touchpoint plans aligned with business objectives, marketing goals and target audience needs for all key external marketing campaigns including national campaigns, regional projects, and large or small-scale projects.
    • Maintain oversight of all key campaign calendars and ensure appropriate frequency of outreach to overlapping audiences; prevent conflicting messages/campaigns. Work closely with the Creative team to continuously adjust deployment calendars as necessary due to conflicts, execution capacity, timeline shifts, etc.
    • Provide fresh content topic ideas to Marketing Partners aligned with campaign and business goals, while also writing posts, working with designers and posting content on all social channels.
    • Define metrics to be applied and aligned with the company’s and business’ overall objectives. Focus on data and leverage analytics to continually analyze and evaluate what’s working and what isn’t to enhance future strategies and campaigns. Continuously seek and integrate user feedback and test results to optimize content.
    • Provide strategic and tactical consulting and guidance to Senior Marketing Partners and other internal Stakeholders about Content Marketing Strategies and impactful communication concepts to meet the desired business goals. Actively contribute innovative ideas, test & learn concepts.
    • Build and maintain highly collaborative partnerships with local and global MarCom colleagues to ensure effective and efficient delivery of impactful content and campaign strategies across all formats and media, and to ensure the alignment of campaign objectives and content strategy.

 

Marketing Strategy:

    • Develop integrated campaigns and solutions that effectively drive desired business results.
    • Partner with Creative Services and consult with other departments including Sales Analytics, Underwriting, Product, Legal, IT etc. to devise, implement, evaluate, and measure campaign effectiveness.
    • Conduct sunset reviews of key projects to apply past learnings to future efforts.
    • Write effective briefs and lead productive internal kick-off meetings to ensure execution delivers on the objectives, on time, on budget, and on brand.
    • Leverage market and marketing intelligence to deliver distinctive, insight-driven ideas and concepts that differentiate our approach and elevate team performance.
    • Lead various marketing projects with cross-channel impact (i.e. ad-hoc campaigns targeting specific product or offering, geography or customer feature, software implementation, process improvement etc.).

 

Required Technical Skills:

    • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
    • Email Marketing, Social Media, CRM acumen desired
    • Adobe/Adobe Express/Canva/Hootsuite/Microsoft Dynamics/Marketo proficiency welcome
    • Effective oral and written communication skills a must. Copywriting skills a plus.

 

Education, Certifications & Designations: 

Required: 

  • Marketing Partner: Generally, 5+ years relevant marketing experience, Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Sr. Marketing Partner: Generally, 7+ years relevant marketing experience, Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field

Preferred: 

  • Experience in Sales and/or Advertising Agency
  • Advanced degree a plus
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C a plus
